Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0600-1830 or 1800-0630, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to patients from neonatal to geriatric across all facility areas including NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units
Set up and manage ventilators such as PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, and high-flow devices like Airvo and V-60 Respironics
Monitor patient responses to therapy and make clinical judgments independently
Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
Perform arterial blood gas draws, airway management, and emergency response as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
Current North Dakota state license
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
Ability to work independently and make critical clinical decisions

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced Level II trauma center
