Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 07:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:00, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a combined PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient comfort and safety
Float to other MedSurg or PCU units as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
First-time travelers welcome
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration
Experience with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
