Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM or 6:30 PM-7:00 AM), including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality intermediate care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, including post-surgical thoracic patients
Titrate critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine, and cardizem for blood pressure management
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, collaborating with remote tele techs to ensure patient safety
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed, supporting the broader team
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam on unit-specific skills to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiovascular or intermediate care patients
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license required at submittal
Must adhere to facility policy: artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating vasoactive drips and managing blood pressure
Ability to interpret cardiac telemetry strips
Strong assessment skills for cardiac and vascular patients
Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula respiratory support
Team-oriented with flexibility to float and support different units
