Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care and post-surgical monitoring for cardiovascular patients
Titrate and manage critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, and epinephrine
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists and cardiologists
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Float to units of the same or lower acuity as needed
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with unit protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent CVU or cardiac stepdown experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius rule verification
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac drip titration
Experience with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula oxygen delivery
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing patient assignments
