Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends and on-call as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field for complex CVOR procedures
Assist surgeons during open heart, vascular, thoracic, neuro, and robotic surgeries
Handle and organize surgical instruments with precision and care
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow
Participate in call rotations to support emergency surgeries

Qualifications

Active Colorado DORA certification as a Surgical Technologist
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
At least 1 year of experience in open heart and endovascular procedures
Willingness to float to the general OR as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and infection control
Knowledge of cardiovascular, thoracic, and endovascular surgery instrumentation
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgical setups
