Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients with a focus on patient-centered outcomes
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions including chemotherapy, heparin drips, and cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring consistent quality of care
Maintain hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to exceed patient expectations
Act as charge nurse when assigned, leading the team and ensuring safe staffing ratios

Qualifications

1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med/surg nursing experience required
First-time travelers welcome!
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation (open book, resources provided)
Driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius rule
No artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Chemotherapy administration and ONS/ONCC certification preferred
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) a plus
Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced unit
