Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, rotating 12-hour shifts: days 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, nights 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, strokes, diabetes, and neurological disorders
Titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and apply critical thinking in high-acuity situations
Maintain a positive attitude and support team members in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule
Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Ability to titrate intravenous medications safely
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
