Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and DM patients
Participate in continuous EEG monitoring and open-book competency exams

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or similar experience preferred
Driver's license required for verification of residency
Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating and managing IV drips
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Comfortable floating to various units as needed
Adaptability to changing patient conditions and priorities
