Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours/week, variable shifts including weekends and on-call rotation (1 shift every 2 weeks)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, and respiratory treatments to patients across all ages
Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, adjusting care for critically ill patients
Perform arterial punctures and analyze blood gases to guide treatment
Educate patients and families on respiratory care, ensuring understanding and comfort
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Maintain equipment sterility and safety, following strict protocols

Qualifications

Active Montana RRT license required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
NICU experience is a must

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with patients and teams
Ability to analyze complex data and adjust care plans
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced, stressful environments
Proficient with EMR systems (Point Click) and MS Office
Flexibility to adapt to changing shifts and on-call duties
