Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts; currently available shift: Shift 1, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to elderly residents, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing team
Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents
Collaborate with healthcare staff to implement care plans and enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
Active CPR certification (BLS) from American Heart Association
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of elderly care principles and ADL assistance
Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge of safety and infection control practices
