Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret strips for adult and geriatric patients
Titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
Provide PCU-level care with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for overflow
Collaborate with charge nurse and assist with light assignment when needed
Float to PCU, Med/Surg, and ER holds as helping hands

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must have PCU experience and be able to read strips
Comfortable titrating drips and caring for tele/cardiac patients
Open to first-time travelers
Epic experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips
Care of patients with cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and medical conditions
Bipap, trachs, and high flow oxygen equipment
