Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, occasional weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages
Process and label samples accurately for laboratory testing
Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area following infection control protocols
Collaborate with laboratory and nursing teams to ensure timely test results

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required
Completion of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program or 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomist Certification preferred
Must be willing to work evening shifts and occasional weekends

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in phlebotomy techniques for various age groups
Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with electronic medical records (Point Click)
