Location: Lanham, Maryland

Start Date: 06-21-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (with 30-minute meal break)

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support mobility and exercise as directed by therapy team
Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in Maryland required
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Experience in long-term care or rehab setting is a plus
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics
Understanding of infection control practices
Patience and empathy in caring for elderly residents
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
