Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients across multiple units
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate drips such as amiodarone, cardene, nitro, heparin, and dobutamine
Float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses as needed, with advanced notice
Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start and a simulation lab on orientation day
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or med-surg experience
Proven ability to titrate cardiac drips and interpret EKGs
NIHSS certification preferred for neuro unit assignments
Willingness to float to similar acuity units and between campuses

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac drip titration and management
EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Floating and adaptability to different units and campuses
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
