Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and staff
Support patient comfort and dignity through respectful, patient-centered interactions
Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in the chart
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Valid authorization to work in California and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Comfortable working daytime per-diem shifts and adapting to patient needs
Good communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care: bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation assistance
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observing patient status
Familiarity with patient safety protocols and infection control practices
Ability to follow care plans, report changes, and communicate with clinical team
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently while collaborating with staff
