Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour day shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication
• Escalate concerns and advocate for patients to ensure timely, quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience working as an RN (per diem/acute care experience preferred)
• Comfort or experience working with MST (Military Sexual Trauma) population or related specialty care
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning
• Clear documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to work independently during per diem shifts and triage effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
• Cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care approaches relevant to MST
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
