Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient orthopedic care for ~8–12 patients per day, focusing on joint replacement recovery, pain management, back issues and post-fall care
• Perform inpatient evaluations and assessments when needed, ensuring smooth transitions of care between settings
• Document thoroughly and timely in EPIC to maintain accurate patient records and continuity of care
• Deliver evidence-based treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy when appropriate
• Collaborate with PTAs, rehab aides and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing training; embrace opportunities to learn and grow on the job

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Physical Therapy license (CO PT license) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (as listed for the role)
• Comfort with EPIC charting and thorough documentation practices
• Willingness to treat primarily outpatient orthopedic patients with some neuro and occasional inpatient acute coverage
• Able to submit a valid driver’s license and operate within a 60-mile radius as requested

• Outpatient therapy workflows and patient evaluation
• Inpatient evaluations and documentation
• EPIC electronic charting system proficiency
• Orthopedics, neurology and sports medicine treatment approaches
• Aquatic (warm water) therapy techniques
• Time management for 45-minute treatment blocks and blocked documentation time
