Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes rotating weekends (Friday-Sunday) and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) care to mothers and newborns
Triage patients and make quick, confident clinical decisions in a rural hospital setting
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse, ensuring safe deliveries
Monitor labor progress and titrate Pitocin drips as ordered
Collaborate with a small team of two nurses per shift, including charge nurse duties
Support rare floating to med-surg as needed, keeping your skills versatile

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Trained and confident in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care
Ability to triage and serve as the baby catcher/transition nurse
Current certifications: BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM
Comfort with titrating Pitocin and managing active labor

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor support, delivery assistance, and postpartum care
Proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) using OBIX system
Strong critical thinking skills for triage and emergency response
Ability to work autonomously in a low-volume, high-acuity setting
Team-oriented mindset to support a small but dedicated unit
