Roles & Responsibilities

Implement and lead the internal risk management program with confidence
Drive organization-wide patient safety initiatives to reduce errors and improve outcomes
Conduct Root Cause Analyses and Failure Mode Effects Analyses to foster continuous improvement
Investigate adverse incidents and ensure regulatory compliance every step of the way
Facilitate Patient Safety Rounds and deliver impactful education to staff and physicians
Collaborate with leadership on quality of care and risk management strategies
Analyze patient grievances and coordinate compassionate disclosures to families

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted, active Registered Nursing license in Alaska
Certified CPHRM within two years
Clinical Competency required within 3 months and every 3 years
3+ years experience in risk management, patient safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Education

Registered Nursing license in Alaska required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA)
Strong leadership in facilitating cross-functional teams
Knowledge of regulatory standards like DNV, TJC, CMS, and CARF
Proficiency in risk management program implementation and patient safety oversight
