Respiratory Therapist

Location: West Jordan, UT

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week (3 shifts), includes weekends and holidays as needed.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor patient responses
Manage and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
Educate patients and families on breathing exercises and disease management
Respond to emergency codes and provide life-saving interventions
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist license in Utah
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and respiratory therapy equipment
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of respiratory pharmacology and treatment protocols
Comfortable working in fast-paced acute care settings
Effective time management and organizational abilities
