Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes weekends and one holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform arterial blood gas draws and analyze results to guide patient care
Set up and manage BiPAP and ventilator therapy for patients of all ages
Administer nebulizer treatments and assist with conscious sedation and cardioversion
Support intubation procedures and manage airway emergencies
Provide specialized respiratory care for neonates in a Level 2 nursery, including bubble CPAP
Collaborate with lead therapists and intensivists in a 24/7 hospital setting

Qualifications

Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license
Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
RRT or CRT credential required
Experience with ventilator setup, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for inpatient care

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management with PB 980, Philips V60, and Respironics Lumis
NICU care including bubble CPAP for infants 32 weeks and older
Conscious sedation and cardioversion standby
Intubation assistance and airway management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
