Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and ventilator care for critically ill patients with precision
• Perform and interpret ABGs to support timely clinical decisions
• Assist with intubation and provide skilled airway management when needed
• Deliver nebulizer, Metaneb, IPPB and CPT treatments to improve patient respiratory function
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate effectively with the care team
• Provide patient-centered care across all age ranges, maintaining excellent customer service
• Collaborate closely with ICU, NICU and ED teams to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — required
• BLS certification — required
• 2+ years of hospital respiratory experience (unit requests 2+ years of hospital experience)
• ICU, NICU and ED experience — must-haves listed in the posting
• Able to draw ABGs and perform related procedures
• Familiarity with documentation in Meditech

Education

• RRT credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management including experience on Servo I ventilator (preferred)
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
• Point-of-care testing experience such as I-Stat (preferred)
• Therapies: nebulizers, Metaneb, IPPB, CPT
• Strong patient communication and customer service across all ages
• Comfort working night shifts and in acute care settings (ICU/NICU/ED)
