Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide advanced respiratory support for acute-care patients
• Perform and interpret ABG analysis to guide timely clinical interventions
• Set up, titrate and monitor CPAP/BiPAP therapy and non-invasive ventilation
• Administer nebulizer treatments and deliver chest physiotherapy (CPT) to improve patient outcomes
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including Servo, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Document respiratory assessments and treatments accurately in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Respond effectively in emergency situations and participate in ACLS-guided interventions when needed
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG analysis, CPAP/BiPAP and nebulizer therapy
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Trauma experience is a plus and will be considered first

• ABG collection and interpretation
• Non-invasive ventilation: CPAP & BiPAP setup/titration
• Nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy techniques
• Meditech EMR documentation
• Critical thinking, teamwork and ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
