Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology PCU & MedSurg

Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days/nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Administer chemotherapy (preferred) and manage patient symptoms
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dieticians
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Maintain hourly rounding and focus on patient experience

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, med/surg, or oncology nursing
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000, ICP)
Ability to titrate cardiac drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Comfort with cultural diversity and end-of-life care
