Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate pre-operative care for pediatric patients, preparing them and their families for procedures
Perform focused pre-op assessments and document findings thoroughly and accurately
Collaborate with the surgical team and perioperative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Educate caregivers on pre-op instructions and answer questions with clarity and empathy
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate changes in condition promptly
Participate in orientation and team huddles to keep care coordinated and safe

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Experience or strong background in Pre-op and Pediatrics (listed as core skills)
Willingness to attend required orientation starting 2026-04-27
Professional communication skills and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric patient care and age-appropriate communication
Pre-operative assessment and preparation workflows
Accurate clinical documentation and handoff communication
Ability to work well in a fast-paced surgical/pre-op environment
Team collaboration and family-centered care approach
