Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assess patient condition continuously and act promptly to changes in status
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Document patient care, progress, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Participate in orientation and unit-based training to support quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) or eligible to obtain one
• PICU clinical experience or strong pediatric critical care background (preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications such as PALS/ACLS are highly valued
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and orientation requirements
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring of critically ill pediatric patients
• Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive infusions
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Patient- and family-centered care approach
