Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/Med Surg unit
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as needed
Ensure patient safety and adherence to evidence-based protocols
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to manage ventilators and interpret cardiac rhythms
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work with diverse patient populations
