Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population in a mixed PCU/Oncology/MedSurg unit
• Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, including titration of drips such as insulin and cardizem
• Administer chemotherapy and other medications safely, with ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, and social work
• Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining same level of care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Oncology experience
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred (chemotherapy certification a plus)
• First-time travelers welcome
• Must pass open-book exam on skills during orientation with a 90% or higher
• Valid driver's license required to confirm 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000) - can train on the job
• Chemotherapy administration and handling
• Knowledge of oncology patient diagnoses from diagnosis to end-of-life care
• Ability to lift and use lift equipment (Lyko lifts available)
