Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients with cardiac, neurological, renal, and stroke diagnoses
Monitor and titrate intravenous medications such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and manage complex patient conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for identification
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in titrating IV medications
Adaptability to float across units
Commitment to patient-centered care
