Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgical teams in 7 OR suites and 2 Endo suites
Support patients through pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
Respond to ER trauma cases when floating is required
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and fingernail policy
Share knowledge and mentor colleagues in a team-focused environment

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience in Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedic, GYN, General Surgery, and DaVinci Robotics
Comfortable working across all service lines without specialized teams
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside 50-mile radius and not be employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in Pre/Post-op and PACU nursing
Experienced with ER trauma response
Flexible and adaptable to varied daily surgical schedules
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
