Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float between MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Monitor and manage patients on heparin drips while maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while maintaining clinical excellence
Support patients through cardiac, neuro, post-surgical, and general medicine care journeys

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of MS-Tele experience in the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Neuro experience preferred along with Alaris and EPIC familiarity
Ability to float within a 60-mile zone and work flexible schedules
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for varied patient acuities

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Heparin drip titration and management
Multi-specialty nursing across cardiac, neuro, ortho, and oncology
Electronic documentation with EPIC preferred
Patient education and family communication
Floating across various acuity levels including ICU holds when appropriate
