Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case manager, social work
Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Support patients from diagnosis through remission or end-of-life care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU or Oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude and genuine care for patients

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
PCU-level monitoring and medication titration
EPIC EMR experience preferred (training available)
Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (can train on the job)
Patient education and cultural sensitivity
Strong communication and teamwork skills
