Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for critically ill newborns in a Level 4 NICU
Perform assessments, manage ventilators, and administer medications
Coordinate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team
Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Educate and support families during their infant's hospital stay
Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Previous travel experience preferred
Ability to pass SIMs lab skills (Foley catheter and central line dressing change)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in caring for premature infants, cardiac defects, and surgical neonates
Proficient in sterile technique and maintaining aseptic field
Comfortable with Phillips telemetry and ventilator management (RT managed)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptable to floating between Mother-Baby and Labor & Delivery for baby care
