Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating; every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-level care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Manage complex patients including premature infants, cardiac defects, and surgical cases
Perform and demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes during SIMs lab
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, midlevels, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
Float to mother-baby or labor care as needed, focusing on baby care
Serve as a charge nurse or high-risk RN resource when assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Must pass a day 1 pass/fail SIMs lab demonstrating Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
Ability to work every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of neonatal intensive care, including care for premature infants and infants with genetic disorders
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and Cerner documentation
Comfortable with sterile technique and central line maintenance
Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment
