Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and prioritize care needs
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience or comfort working in MST environments as indicated in the posting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ACLS preferred if applicable
• Ability to work per diem shifts and provide reliable coverage
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete required background checks and screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation (MST-related care)
• Electronic medical record documentation proficiency
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Team collaboration and clear, compassionate patient education
