Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac care for adult and geriatric patients
Manage PCU level patients with conditions including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and more
Titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, and Lasix
Interpret cardiac strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with charge nurse and care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or med/surg as needed, providing full patient care assignments

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must have PCU experience and be able to read strips
Epic experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and cardiac nursing skills
Proficiency in drip titration and strip interpretation
Experience with PCU level care and common cardiac diagnoses
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Ability to work in a fast-paced unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5
