Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for medical-surgical patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, timely discharges
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate, timely patient records

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire, or compact RN license if applicable
• Current BLS certification (ACLS or other certifications may be preferred based on unit needs)
• Experience working in medical-surgical nursing — clinical comfort with med-surg patient population
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical care principles and standards
• Skillful in medication administration, wound care, and basic IV management
• Proficient patient assessment and monitoring, including recognizing changes in condition
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting and documentation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family education abilities
