Shift Type: Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients including post-operative care, wound management, and respiratory support
Administer medications, titrate drips as needed (Heparin, Bumex), and monitor patients for changes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including CNAs, charge nurse, and house supervisor
Care for a diverse patient population with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, orthopedic conditions, and occasionally pediatric patients
Assess and manage acute changes, respond to low census call-ins within 30 minutes

Qualifications

Current RN license (Oregon or eligible for emergency license)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
Experience with common med-surg diagnoses and procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing including post-op care
Ability to titrate IV drips such as Heparin and Bumex
Basic telemetry interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
