Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (night shift), three 12-hour shifts per week, includes weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients in a rural hospital setting
Perform triage assessments and manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Act as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed per orders
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia providers with 20-minute response times
Maintain AWHONN standards for patient ratios as possible
Assist with occasional floating to med-surg if needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience in an LDRP setting
Proficiency in triage and newborn transition care
Current certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM (or ability to obtain)
Active Colorado RN license or compact license
Ability to titrate Pitocin
Comfortable working in a rural hospital with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Expert clinical skills in labor and delivery nursing
Knowledge of LDRP model
Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation (AWHONN)
Advanced life support skills
Competent in medication titration
Strong triage assessment skills
