Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
Monitor fetal heart tracings using OB TraceVue and respond to changes
Administer titratable drips such as magnesium, oxytocin, and other medications
Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care
Educate and support families during the birthing process and postpartum period
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care
Circulate during C-sections, focusing on newborn care and support
Float to other units as needed for helping hands or patient sitting

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Ability to work in a rural hospital setting with limited NICU access
Strong independent decision-making and teamwork skills
Willingness to float to Med/Surg or ED for patient sitting when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal heart monitoring and OB TraceVue
Experience with neonatal CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
Skilled in titrating medications like magnesium and oxytocin
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Adaptability to a fast-paced, resource-limited environment
