Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, titrate drips like magnesium and oxytocin
Assist with C-sections by circulating for the baby and providing neonatal support
Educate new parents on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn procedures
Collaborate with a close-knit team of providers and nurses in a rural hospital setting
Float to med-surg or emergency department as needed for patient sitting and support

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Minimum 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Comfort with fetal monitoring and titrating drips

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery nursing including postpartum care
Proficiency in fetal monitoring using OB Trace Vue
Ability to titrate medications like magnesium, oxytocin, and pain management drips
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to provide care in a rural hospital with limited services
