Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery
Independently manage all phases of the birthing experience while supporting moms and babies
Titrate critical drips such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate with confidence
Collaborate seamlessly with your fellow nurses, always having each other's backs
Float and lend a helping hand to other units when the team needs you most
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac rhythms, ensuring the safest outcomes

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for the 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with confidence and skill
Comfortable floating and adapting to changing unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-compliant patient ratios
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry interpretation
Stabilization and transfer skills for ventilated newborns
Bubble CPAP management
Quick adaptability between busy and quiet shifts
