Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Manage ventilators, titrate vasoactive medications, and perform complex assessments with confidence
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
• Document accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record and communicate clear handoffs at shift change
• Advocate for patients and families, offering clear explanations and compassionate support during critical moments
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and clinical safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Prior ICU/critical care experience preferred (per-diem roles welcome for experienced ICU clinicians)
• Demonstrated ability to manage critically ill patients, including ventilator and hemodynamic support
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of ICU patient assessment and critical care interventions
• Comfort with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and infusion pumps
• Proficient documentation skills in electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize care in high-acuity situations and remain calm under pressure
• Collaborative mindset and strong clinical judgment
