Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care nursing for ICU patients, ensuring safety and compassionate care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition, intervening promptly when needed
• Manage ventilators, infusions, hemodynamic monitoring and other advanced ICU therapies with confidence
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and transitions of care with clarity and compassion
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• ICU experience; ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced critical care environment
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and ability to work independently when covering per-diem shifts
• Effective communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be coordinating care with multiple disciplines

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care assessment and interventions
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac life support
• Proficiency with IV medications, titratable infusions, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comfortable using Electronic Health Record systems for documentation and medication administration
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple complex tasks
