Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for adult ICU patients with vigilance and compassion
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition and intervene as needed to optimize outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips and manage advanced therapies per protocol
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge planning in a clear, caring way
• Participate in bedside shift reports and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Minimum ICU clinical experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS highly preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management and vasoactive drips
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on night shift and escalate concerns appropriately
• Immunizations and health screenings up to facility standards

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Relevant ICU training and certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for critically ill patients
• Experience with ICU monitoring equipment and ventilators
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients
• Clear communication skills with patients, families and care teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Calm, decisive clinical reasoning in emergency situations
