Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients during the overnight shift
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data, including hemodynamic and ventilator parameters
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including code situations
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity about condition and care plans
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and safety of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact license if applicable)
• ICU clinical experience preferred — come ready to hit the ground running
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required depending on facility policy
• Comfort with critical care equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently overnight
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of ICU standards of care and critical care protocols
• Skill in interpreting labs, hemodynamics, and ventilator settings
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Team-focused mindset with effective communication across disciplines
