Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a Burn/Trauma/Surgical ICU
• Assess, monitor and intervene using advanced critical care equipment to stabilize patients
• Perform wound care, manage EVDs and participate in massive transfusion protocols (MTP) when needed
• Respond to and lead during codes and other high-acuity events
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary teammates to create and carry out care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients and families during stressful moments, advocating for the best outcomes
• Mentor and support colleagues to maintain a strong, team-based unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience; Trauma, Burn or Surgical ICU experience required
• Comfortable working 2:1 patient ratios in the ICU
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Team player with strong communication and critical thinking skills

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

• Trauma, Burn and Surgical ICU care
• Critical care equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Wound care, EVD management and code response
• Massive transfusion protocol (MTP) participation
• Meditech electronic medical record navigation
