Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adult ICU patients
• Perform ongoing assessments and intervene promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and other critical care equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to coordinate plans
• Document clinical findings and interventions thoroughly in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support and mentor colleagues and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Louisiana or compact license accepted where applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as scheduled
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and meet required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and rapid intervention skills
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Familiarity with arterial lines, central lines, and continuous infusion management
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
