Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), weekends required (Nights: Fri-Sat, Days: Sat-Sun), on-call/standby as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns in a family birthing center setting
Manage labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates, titrating medications like Pitocin, and assisting with deliveries
Care for mother-baby couplets postpartum, supporting breastfeeding and newborn stabilization
Assist in cesarean sections in the OR, utilizing circulating experience
Stabilize newborns in the NICU with NRP support, collaborate with respiratory therapy
Perform antepartum testing (NST) and interpret fetal monitoring strips using Fetalink system

Qualifications

Valid California RN license required
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced EFM
At least 1 year of LDRP experience preferred; 3 years ideal
Comfortable with NRP at delivery and titrating drips (Pitocin, occasional insulin)
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with on-call availability

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation
Understanding of AWHONN guidelines for labor and postpartum ratios
Experience with twin deliveries and preterm patient care
OR circulating experience a plus
Familiarity with GE fetal monitors and Fetalink system
