Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays required (November/December)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to ER patients ranging from cardiac and stroke to trauma and mental health
Manage patient loads of 1:3 (1:4 for low acuity) in a fast-paced 56+ bed trauma center
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat emergent conditions
Utilize Epic EMR to document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
Participate in triage, hold patient management, and support inpatient overflow as needed
Administer medications, interpret telemetry, and respond to critical changes in patient status

Qualifications

Active Washington or Compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of ER experience in a large trauma setting
Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications (PALS or ENPC required as well)
Ability to work every other weekend and specified holidays
Comfortable with floating within the ER and managing inpatient holds

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac, stroke, sepsis, respiratory, and trauma care
Proficient in Epic EMR and telemetry monitoring
Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing patient volumes and acuity
